Highway to Hell Makes U.K. Christmas Race

AC/DC’s 1979 hit, Highway to Hell, has made it into the race for the United Kingdom’s Christmas #1 song. When the news was heard that Highway to Hell was in the race, it’s Facebook page gained over 100,000 likes in just four days. It looks like “Jingle Bells” has been pushed aside this year. It is not uncommon in the United Kingdom for Christmas #1 songs to be out of the ordinary and not holiday related. Good luck, AC/DC!

AC/DC First Gig 40th Anniversary

November 2013

With AC/DC celebrating their 40th anniversary in November 2013, it was not until New Year’s Eve of 1973 that they began to show off their work. They preformed at the Bondi Lifesaver in Australia. They were booked by Gene Pierson. The current AC/DC lineup was as follows: Angus Young, lead guitar; Malcolm Young, rhythmic guitar; Larry Van Kriedt, bassist;  Colin Burgess, drummer; and Dave Evans, lead singer.
